Lymph node: It could be bacterial infection. However further evaluation i.e. Ct scan and biopsy to the lymph node should be done to rule out other more worrisome possibility. You may also need to see an ENT to evaluate your lymph node and sore throat.

Yes: This simply could be secondary to your prior sore throat, but the way in which to find out is to undergo the ct and then determine if other diagnostic procedures are necessary.
