A member asked:

Is it normal to have headache and fever when quitting smoking?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doubtful: Headache may occur as a result of the stress of dealing with the loss of the habit of smoking, but fever would be very unusual. This may well be a minor viral illness, but monitor yourself carefully and if you develop further symptoms you may need a doctor's care. Congratulations on stopping smoking. Difficult to do, but it will improve your health, make you more acceptable to the people around.
