Exercise asthma: Try to see a doctor that specializes in asthma to see what treatment options you have. The specialist can tell you about your sports question.

See allergist/ENT: Usually an inhaler should help for short-duration exertion. For those running 5k or more, i may prescribe an inhaled steroid plus a long-acting bronchodilator as commonly practiced in europe. If your breathing problem comes on.

Inhaler use exercise: If you have no other conditions other than asthma, you should be able to exercise at the same capacity as other kids. The use of the inhaler should be timed to be taken 15 minutes prior to exercise. In addition, once you stop exercising, there can be symptoms of asthma, and another dose can be used. How you take your inhaler- the technique of inhalation determines the delivery to the lungs.
