A member asked:

Can you get costochronditus without chest pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Suppose so.: I suppose you could, but suspect it would be difficult to know. Without the chest pain, what symptom would there be to alert you? Perhaps some very sub-clinical inflammation of the costo-chondral junction might be found via somewhat sophisticated testing, possibly by a test called a bone scan.
