Dermatofibroma: A dermatofibroma is a benign skin nodule. It could be the same color as your skin or red, brown or black. Dermatofibromas are not usually painful but once in a while may be tender. They sometimes develop in an area of skin that was traumatized. They usually do not require treatment. Sometimes they are surgically removed for cosmetic reasons.
