Neuralgia: This could be trigeminal neuralgia. The 5th cranial or trigeminal nerve divides into branches that supply sensation to the face. One of the branches is in the area you describe. If inflamed or irritated, it could cause the pain you describe. Treated as neuropathy or treat the cause. Could also be a dental problem, check with your dentist.
