While not sure: Exactly what you are feeling here, it sounds like increased sinus pressure. I would recommend seeing a physician to rule out any serious issues. If you have inflammation in any of the many sinuses in your head, laying down can change the pressure and causes some discomfort in the area that feels like it is just behind your nose.
