A member asked:

Is it normal for my leg to involuntarily kick when an accupuncture needle was taken out? could it have been too close to a nerve?

I sometimes: See muscle fasiculations when placing or even removing needles. Sometimes when electric stimulation is used - it is very pronounced. It placement was too close to a nerve - you would likely experience pain after the fact. Sometimes when a person experiences qi in a major acupuncture point - they can jump.
