You are 50 y.o. and so to slim down, put the wrist weights on when you go for brisk walks or even as you are doing things during the day. It burns extra calories and improves the arm muscles. However, best to also eat as close to a gluten free, low fat diet as you can with no processed food. It is not just the activities but also what you eat that counts.
