Head ache diary: Keeping a head ache diary is a good idea, certain food are known to trigger a migraine in susceptible persons. Chocolate, aged cheese, foods with nitrates, inadequate hydration, to little or too much sleep are some of the causes.

Headache diary: Agree with keeping a headache diary to track time of day, duration, antecedent events, treatment and effect and severity on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is the worst. Would to for 4 weeks then make an appointment with primary care provider.
