Disc Herniation: This is probably caused by a disc herniaaiton in the neck. When you tunr to the left the disc is pinching the nerve and causing your pain. Try ibuprofen/naproxen, heating pad or moist heat, try massage. If it lasts more than a few days you should be examined by a spine specialist for prescription medications (like a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack), physical therapy, and maybe an mri.
