Nose Piercing: A piercing through the septum (cartilage) is painful. If you have a runny nose, you may be snagging your piercing when you blow your nose or wipe on tissue. With nasal piercing u can have heavy bleeding w formation of a septal hematoma as well as significant deformity from complications like necrosis of the nasal wall or perichondritis. If the stud grows into your skin it may need to be cut out.
