Salt water rinse: Salt water rinses are always helpful with mouth sores. Vegemite not so much.

Mouth ulcers: If you are referring to canker sores also known as aphthous ulcers, your local pharmacy usually has many helpful otc medications to help relieve the discomfort but not necessarily reduce the duration.
