Be patient: It takes many months to move teeth into position, and we orthodontists don't want it to hurt. Be patient. If you have questions, talk to your orthodontic specialist. I'm sure you will be pleased with the answer.

Adult braces: Braces on an adult take much longer depending upon the malocclusion. The bone surrounding the teeth is more dense (thicker) as one gets older, so the teeth moving with braces require more time.
