A member asked:

What do you recommend if i have a disease called macular degeneration in my eye do i need inject of avast for the rest of my life?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you have the dry: Form then you can decrease your risk of conversion to the wet form by taking the areds 2 formula of eye vitamins and reducing your modifiable risk factors (sun protection, smoking cessation, improved diet, etc.) if you have the wet form then intravitreal injections are effective and the standard of care at this time. This does not necessarily mean you will need treatment indefinitely.
