A member asked:

Consistent dull pain behind left eye.. she does get macular degeneration shots in that eye every few months but hasn't had one in a while?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Intraocular pressure: One of the possible side effects of intravitreal injections of bevacizumab, ranibizumab and aflibercept is an elevation of intraocular pressure which can lead to glaucomatous vision loss in addition to the effect of the age-related macular degeneration. An ophthalmology visit is indicated to evaluate the pressure. In the meantime, artificial tears cannot hurt, and might relieve the discomfort.
