Controversy: Assuming that you do not have reigious issues at play here, it is one of playing odds and of averting long term issues. The majority of males in the us are circumsized and boys like to look alike. There is a higher incidence of certain illnesses in uncircumsized such as aids and penile cancer. The risk is small. There are powerful advocates on either side of this issue; parents have to choose.

Depends: This should be discussed by the mom and the babies father and the babies doctor. There are strong feelings on both sides of the issue. Millions of babies are left natural and few have problems. Millions of men (particularly in the usa) are circumcised and most (99.99%) have no problem, but there are rare complications . Have the mom talk to the baby doctor.
