3-4 months: With adequate levothyroxine replacement, biochemical labs of thyroid function will normalize in about 2-3 months and most of the symptoms should be better by 3-4 months . Persistent symptoms after 3-4 months of adequate levothyroxine replacement indicates that alternative diagnosis should be pursued for the symptoms.
