Yes : But there can be some increased bruising and prolongation of the qt interval on her ekg so that should be checked. This is due to the interaction of Plavix (clopidogrel) and citalopram.

Citalopram: I'm not sure whether you mean "psychologist" or "psychiatrist" here. Most psychiatrists (who are md's) know there is some increased chance of bleeding when using Plavix (clopidogrel) + citalopram because both affect platelet function. Your mother would need to be alert to any symptoms like bruising, swelling, blood in urine or stools, headache, dizziness, or weakness, etc -- and report them immediately.
