A member asked:

What short term damage would be done if someone laid in the sun for four hours everyday for 10 days without any sunscreen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sunburn: Sunburn would be the most likely short term damage. Repeated such exposures could in the long term increase the risk for melanoma and other non cancerous skin lesions and damage to the deeper layers of connective tissue leading to wrinkles and skin creases. The risk is influenced by the natural skin pigmentation, time of day of exposure and the season.
