Not necessarily: Pap tests can detect abnormal cervical cells, yeast infections and other fungal infections, bacterial vaginosis, herpes, and trichamonas. Pap tests cannot identify most bacterial infections like gonorrhea or chlamydia. They also do not test for uti.

No, Pap is for Cance: Pap test is to look for cancer of the cervix. If you have problem with vaginal discharge, your gynecologist can give you antibiotics. But they may have to run some test to find out what kind of infection do you have?
