Yes: Hpv is sexually transmitted. Many people who have it, do not transmit the virus to the other partner. There is really no good way to prevent the passage to your partner only rare instances is hpv transmitted to they baby via a vaginal delivery.

No: Hpv is very contagious and spreads easily through genital contact. Even using condoms doesn't protect against hpv much. There really isn't any risk to the baby from your having hpv.
