Nothing serious but: My best guess is the needle hit a nerve ; traumatized it.The nerve should heal over time. Air in the syringe isn't a problem; if one injects a lot of air directly into an artery it can cause an air embolism with immediate serious consequences.A bit of air in veins or muscles causes no harm. I've given B12 shots for 25 years ; this hasn't happened so i question the skill of the person who gave it.
