Your Doctor's assess: What is your doctor's assessment as to the cause? If you pain is getting worse, then an imaging study to find the cause of swelling and pain is in order. Ask your doctor to do further testing simply using pain pills is not a solution....You must find out what is causing it, then treat the cause.
