Is bmi of 25 overweight or fat for normally thin person?

BMI less than 25 Ok: The current limit for "normal" weight is a bmi of 25. If 5 ft 5 in, that would be less than 150 lb. Of course, that is just a guideline. Most people remain healthy and free of weight-related disease up to a bmi of 30. Focus on healthy eating with lots of veggies, fruits, and proteins.

Marginally: A bmi between 18 and 25 is considered normal, 25-30 overweight, over 30 obese. Having said that, some people, due to bone mass and the proportion of fat vs lean mass, can have a normal bmi but have too much body fat, or conversely can have a high bmi but have a normal amount of fat.
