Cyst versus food: If the tonsil was not cultured, you should not be placed on an antibiotic. Which antibiotic? In the absence of pain, it is unlikely to be an infection. Stop the antibiotic. The possibility of a cyst or a retained food particle are other possibilities. See an ENT doctor for an accurate diagnosis. And stop allowing yourself to be placed on unnecessary antibiotics. Which can be harmful.

Tonsil Spot: Concretions or "yellow spots" that are found on tonsils are small collections of particles that the tonsils have pulled together as part of their normal function. They do not indicate an infection or anything bad or abnormal.
