Gastroenterologist: It is of great concern when a patient has constant problems getting food through the esophagus and into the stomach. It suggests a blockage from scar tissue or a tumor. At times it's due to dysfunction of the esophageal muscles. An evaluation by a gasroenterologist is urgently needed.
