BLOOD GLUCOSE...: Blood glucose range for infant, children to 16 years age is 60-100 mg/dl. (newborn 1 day- 50-90 mg/dl). Fasting glucose that exceeds 126 mg/dl, or random glucose 200 mg or more are the accepted criteria for diagnosing diabetes mellitus. Fasting glucose 110-125 is considered as impaired glucose tolerance; needs to see doctor for further testing.
