Hopefully so: Hopefully your baby will be okay. Xanax (alprazolam) and other benzodiazepines have been associated with some difficulties in babies, but you were at least past your first trimester when your doctor prescribed the medication. Please know for the future that there are non-pharmaceutical ways to help anxiety.

Yes: Your baby is fine. You took the xanax (alprazolam) later in pregnancy, so the xanax (alprazolam) did not affect any development. You did not take it close to delivery, so there will not be a problem with withdrawal from the xanax (alprazolam) for the baby. You only took if for 9 days. Make sure you take as little possible and again, not during the last month. It is better that you treated your anxiety vs the small risk with the xanax (alprazolam).
