See details: The condition known as complex regional pain syndrome is often difficult to diagnose and may be even more difficult to treat. I have also found the diagnosis to be erroneously apply on several occasions when there is another more obvious diagnosis for the patient's complaints. Because of all of these factors, some doctors can be skeptical just as some believe that fibromyalgia does not exist.
