Not a problem: Liver pate isn't popular with physicians for two reasons -- there was a famous outbreak of listeria from it, and even those of us who are not troubled by most factory farming do have concerns about the geese from which certain pates are made. Nowadays the risk of contamination is low and the warnings about its dangers need to be understood as being mostly of historical interest.
