sudden pain in left front groin no obvious lump/swelling, tender to touch, painful to stand straight/walk haven't done excercise or strenuous activity?

If the pain: Is that severe you should absolutely see your doctor today, not sure what you mean exactly by "groin" but there are a few possibilities that beg direct examination.
