Every night my heart beats real fast while trying to sleep. i know i was told by my doctor that i have extra heart beats, but you only at bedtime?

Pvc: Every now and then we do get irregularity in our heart beat called pac's and pvc's if extra beat. We feel these things more as we are quiet and not preoccupied with other things at night. It seems your doctor was not concerned but it is always best to ask his/her opinion. If they are just the fare pvc's they are of no consequence. Sweet dreams.

Monitor pulse: It may not be only while sleeping. Since everything around is quiet and you can feel heart beating, you may notice only at night while sleeping. Next time also count the pulse rate. If it's really high what you described the you need to see a cardiologist.
