Headache: Headaches occur for a variety of reasons, many not too serious, including stress. Spend 20-30 minutes focusing on your breathing to relax yourself even further. Drink some fluids such as water. If that does not help, then try some Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen as directed on the bottle. If these things do not improve your headache or it worsens, then consult a medical provider.

Muscle tension: The muscles of mastication or chewing can become sore and painful due to overuse. The pain can be so severe that just palpating the muscle body can trigger pain in other areas. These are referred to as trigger points. Clenching or teeth grinding can lead to pain. Either a TMJ splint can be useful to prevent damage to teeth or to find a more comfortable position for the jaw to be in or botox.
