Very unusual : Gout itself can present in other joints( or tendons) other than the metatarsalphalangeal jt.Of the big toe.Knee pain, achilles inflammation pain( ankle) and other joints/ tendons can be first affected. 'chronic' gouty arthritis almost always affects the big toe @ some point, however... Consider seeing a rheumatologist for evaluation .Gl!
