I have a bright red and sore spot on top of the joint, closest to nail of big toe, left. some artritis in other joint. longtime fungus on nail. thanks?

Once an abnormality is noted i would not hesitate to seek medical attention to make sure this is not some type of infection that will get out of hand and result in tissue loss.
