Trazodone: Trazodone allows some restorative sleep, but it's an antidepressant that can lead to a "hangover" feeling and more. Also, your problem may require more than trazodone for relief. Depression can certainly lead to the feelings you describe. Please consider seeing a psychiatrist for full evaluation and better recommendations. You may also need formal sleep testing.

Not the right drugs.: Trazodone is not a sleeping medication; it is an antidepressant with bad side effects. Your dr. Should prescribe a short acting (8 hours) sedative.
