Please explain why does the human nose seem to stop-up instead of run during the colder season?

Nasal questions: As the weather turns colder, the humidity tends to decrease. One of the functions of the nose is to condition the air we breathe by adding moisture. One way it does that is to swell the passages ways to increase the surface area of mucus. Thus the "stopped up" feeling. Adding humidity to the dry air will help and hopefully restore the nasal passages to their normal state. good luck
