Any reason why are blood disorders common in greek, italian, african, and mediterranean people?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Congenital: Many cultures have an increased risk of various diseases due to marriage within the family. The more such sharing of the gene pool occurs with closely related people the more of a chance that the gene expression will become dominant. This is also true in some religions such as Judaism.
