Any suggestions on which is healthier for your heart, butter or margarine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diet: Dietary effects of foods are complex. Butter is a high fat food, but so are some kinds of margarine. The best course for most of us is to use either product sparingly. Using a lot of margarine or a lot of butter is likely to be a problem. A low fat margarine may be better than butter in the same quantity used; but actual rigorous outcome studies are lacking.
