Is there a procedure to cover up the exposed dentin in my teeth?

Yes: Depending on the amount of exposed dentin can range from simple bonding to full coverage restorations. I prefer the most conservative treatment possible.

Exposed dentin: Dentin is the layer of the tooth that is under the enamal. If the exposed dentin is on the cervical aspect of the tooth (the neck of the tooth at the gumline), it can often be bonded with a tooth-colored filling material. If the exposed dentin is on the chewing surface of the tooth, the tooth may need a crown.
