EIA: Exercise induced asthma (eia) is a common problem especially in elite athletes. Talk this over with your physician so you can work out a pre-exercise treatment regimen. Your shoulder is another story. You may want to talk this over with a sports medicine physician who can give you an exercise regimen that won't damage your shoulder. Don;t do anything on your own is either case. Good luck.

Yes but: Exercise triggered asthma (when you do have asthma without exercise) can often be prevented by using an inhaled bronchodilator a few minutes prior. However you should avoid putting too much weigh or stress on the affected shoulder when doing weight-training, i assume that you have already seen an ortho doc and has had rehab rx for this condition as well. If not, it would be a great idea.
