Scared of?: People have different fears related to the IV. Some are afraid of having an IV started, which can be comfortably performed with the proper technique. Some are afraid of the effects of the medication and "being put to sleep". A consultation with your dentist/surgeon should help and hopefully provide you with the assurance you need to reduce your fear.
