I've had a infected throat for 6 months now been on antibiotics for the last 6 months and my thyroids are swollen why isn't antibiotics helping?

Thyroid enlargement: The thyroid doesn't typically swell due to antibiotics, so it may be enlarged due to hypothyroidism and poor function of the gland. You need to see your doctor for preliminary lab work and possibly a thyroid ultrasound.
