Is it true that there a maximum dosage of 6mg of colchicine per incident of gout, which is basically 3 days if taken 0.5mg four times daily?

No: Treatment for acute onset of gout in adult is 1.2 mg ( 2 tab) to start and then repeat .6 mg (1tab)1 hour later if necessary. So maximum daily dose in adult in 1.8 mg. The tab size is 0.6 mg . For gout prophylaxis daliy dose limit is 1.2 mg I hope that helps.
