Pelvic ultrasound: An ultrasound of your pelvic organs would be a good place to start. If that comes back normal and you have never had a colonoscopy, you might want to follow up with a GI physician.

Irregular bowels: A colonoscopy is a good idea if you have not had one. However, this may represent constipation symptoms. Very commonly patients become constipated for several days developing similar symptoms. Either with some medicinal help or not, once a BM occurs, the intestinal activity is increased for a few days resulting in loose stool. Then the cycle repeats. Slowly increase fiber until at least 1BM a day
