Not likely: The bad cramps you describe make the syndrome more worrisome than irritable bowel which is more annoying than disabling. I would be concerned about inflammatory bowel disease or pancreatic disease. This is the sort of problem that will require consulting with a gastroenterologist, some testing and procedures.
