No.: Fungal infections are more common in patients with a deficiency in their immune system like pts. With cancer or taking chemotherapy or medicines for rheumatoid arthritis ( embrel, Orencia (abatacept) , plaquanil etc), with diabetes, pts. On steroids or cortisone, malnourished, pts who recently received a lot of antibiotics and more. Unless heart disease is associated to the above by itself is not.
