A member asked:

Can inflammation of the iliopsoas tendon be seen in a regular enlarged mri?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes.: A trained hip orthopedic specialist should be able to see that on a regular mri. You may be able to see thickening of the tendon or possibly some fluid, which would indicate a strain. The MRI should be done by someone who has experience with hip mri's.
