If the irrigation was performed by a family doctor and not a specialist, then you could have a mild external otitis (inflammation of the skin of the ear canal) or all of the wax was not removed. When wax becomes impacted (wax on or near the ear drum) then a specialist needs to remove it. Remember, never use q-tips to clean out your ears.
